Versatile Blogger Award

Versatile Blogger Award
My fellow blogger in this twisty and turning but endless blogosphere, abichica from chicpress has nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award. WOW Thanks a lot dear 🙂 She got such an awesome blog, which you would not regret visiting. A talented poet and writer, keeps me hooked with her short story in installments, which I clamor to read till the end. This award thing, at first got me a bit confused but after researching a bit, I was able to digest what this award means. Being nominated is kind of considered as winning. I feel so honored.  And there are several official rules involved in order to accept the award:

  1. Thank the person who gave you this award and link back to his/her blog.
  2. Next nominate 15 bloggers for this award and notify them about the nomination.
  3. Finally, tell readers seven things about yourself.

I’m really delighted to be nominated for this award but as per official rules, but I would not be able to fulfill the second rule:

You must create a list of 15 blogs that you enjoy most and link to those as well. Then you must go and tell them you have nominated them. That means if you do not have 15, you cannot do this step. If you do not complete this step, then you cannot claim this award.

I don’t have 15 on my blogroll (I was oblivious to its charms and was lazy to grow the list) and neither do I closely interact with other bloggers, due to many reasons including lack of time to dedicated blog surfing and commenting. (and I’m slow in making friends) I’m deeply saddened, that I’m not eligible to accept the award. But I consider this a moment to introduce some blogs which I feel deserve more attention and encouragement. And also some established ones which I consider inspiring and deserving to be read.

Sweet Embrace

in the rain

let worlds melt in pattering drops
yet aches these two pounding hearts
may the pain for once blur away
in these soothing heavenly tears

just for one final moment
all memories of yesterdays
let them fade away
let them please give way

just for one final embrace
before reality shatters
our castles of sand
and tears us apart

as a tsunami wave
time shall finally come
when worlds shall make us part
with eyes raining tears we depart

The Message

tired thoughts drifting abound
racing home
body stay still lay bound
left alone
among thousands around

blending into black and white
they live their dreams of tonight
blending into this background
those thousands fade away

a text message
a single line to my phone
blurs my world around
leaves me spinning
in a vortex
of my make

Tainted Land

blue is the color
of this frozen land
born out of ancient
fallacy of man

crimson is the color
of blood lust defiled skies
swallowing dust and ash
are these cancerous clouds

unopened flowers wither lay frozen
petals petrified in staring gazes
winter gales reign as the chosen
over icy remains of charred wood
this tainted land stay barren
soiled by subtle remains
of deeds better left unsaid
this tainted land shiver frozen
in shame hides her naked frame
covered in a shroud of ashen ice
the final shreds of a forgotten
heaven falls down from the skies
tearing apart wings fate dies
leaving shattered feathers
floating in icy waters

this land aches abandoned
by mankind dead by own hand
when grayness takes over
falls silent this grieving land

The Dreamer Paints

with wide eyes every dawn i wake
when the morning wind beckons
and blows open my doors

it takes me hand in hand and walk
side by side through new doors
shows dreams sweeter than before

because i’m a forever daydreamer
wrapped tightly in sweet memories
i fly around new cloud castles

my friend the wind is my redeemer
it tells me new stories
secrets passed only lips to ears

opens every vestige of my mind
it wakes my ever sleepy muse
sets up an easel i never refuse

makes me work on a blank canvas
to paint my ethereal visions
guided by my magical brush

my muse now awake and smiling
she sends me colors in the wind
sealed with a silent kiss

Fragile People

stained glass

do you know why
we hold our wine in glass
transparent and open to see
while we sip gracefully

so we will admire the crimson liquid
the sweet blood we drained
from our mother the earth
her blood our wine we are blessed

why do we plant our flowers
in houses of glassy make
let grapevines do the embrace of lovers
open for all to see

so everyone will admire the love
written in every petal and embrace
so we can see the wildest of nature
thrive in our ever changing world

do we ever imagine we are glass people
with hearts of glass so fragile
we live in shining glasshouses
flowing open for everyone to see

so we will forever
get open love we ever crave
and handled with the care
fragile things deserve

this is my entry for: The Thursday Think Tank #66 – Glass Houses.

The Schizoid Suspect

they came every night in shrill voices
to talk about me how dull am i
in manic laughter to expose my vices
in my head tearing my every sigh

drained by every effort to shut their lies
now lay chained i am a promethean son
like a burning cauldron this pale mind cries
it stirs and boils till broth is done

their gaze left me in catatonic states
in this glass house they recited my every move
what became of me are there darker fates
on the witness stand my insanity they proved
